Deleting your SiteIQ account or data
Last updated 29 August 2026
SiteIQ is operated by Kupriq, a Bellberry Estate Ltd company. You can delete your SiteIQ account and its data at any time, from inside the app or by asking us.
Deleting it yourself, in the app
- Sign in to SiteIQ, on the app or at app.siteiq.nz.
- Open the menu and choose My Account.
- Choose Delete account and confirm.
Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. You will be signed out and your login will stop working straight away.
Asking us to delete it instead
Email hello@kupriq.com from the address on the account. We will confirm before deleting anything, and act within 30 days.
Deleting some of your data, without closing your account
You do not have to delete your account to remove data from it. Signed in, you can delete individual records directly: customers, photos and files attached to a job, knowledge base articles, scheduled assignments, staff members, staff positions and saved note presets. Open the record and use its delete action.
For anything you cannot remove yourself — or if you would rather we did it — email hello@kupriq.com describing what you want deleted. We will confirm what will be removed before doing it, and act within 30 days. The retention below applies to these deletions in the same way.
What is deleted
What happens depends on whether anyone else is still using your company's account.
If colleagues still use the account, we delete you: your login, your name and email address, and your personal profile. Your company keeps its own records — the jobs, customers, time entries and variations belong to the business, not to you, and it still needs them to pay wages, invoice work and meet its record-keeping obligations. Your name may remain on entries you created, as part of those business records.
If you are the last person on the account, deleting yourself closes the whole company account. That removes every job, customer, staff record, schedule, note, photo, attachment, variation, signature, knowledge base article, time record and location reading held for that company.
What is kept, and for how long
- Encrypted backups — up to 30 days. We take nightly backups for disaster recovery and delete each one after 30 days, so a copy of deleted data can persist in them until then. Backups are restored only to recover from a failure, never to bring back a deleted account.
- Uploaded photos and files — a short period after deletion. These live with our storage provider and may remain briefly after the records referencing them are gone.
- Records the law requires us to keep. Where a legal or tax obligation requires retention, we keep only what that obligation covers and delete the rest.
We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or keep a copy for our own purposes after deletion.
If you are an employee
Deleting your account removes your access, but the business account belongs to your employer and its records stay with them. If you want your personal information removed from those records, ask your employer first — under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask what is held about you. If you cannot resolve it that way, email us and we will help.
